Had front calipers painted to match the back. But both were leaking when i started bleeding them. So i had to get new ones and didn't have enough paint left.

Don't remember the brand. Will have to find the receipt. The mold they used didn't have the ducts that run down under the seats. Little work with a heat gun fixed that. Other than that, the rest fit perfect. I got it with their "mass backing" option. Helped a lot with road noise. Its a lot thicker and heavier than factory.

I dont have the underseat heat ducts, so no big deal, auto carpet originals went out of business or something

This is where i got it 86-89 Honda Accord Carpet 2 Door or Hatchback 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989
None of the holes are cut out and all of the edges are too long and have to be trimmed. But it fits quite well. I got the ultra plush with the mass backing. They will also send you samples so you can see/feel the difference and match colors.

it was missing the blue plastic edge clips right? I saved my old ones because I figured an aftermarket carpet would have them missing, and the holes missing is great as so much is different on mine anyway

my back seats are unusable for anything but kids now anyway, with the battery box on one side and the vacuum tank on the other, now I know what those holes in the seat frames are for, forgot the lxi has vents to the back, they would make nice wire runs if I could find some

If I ever make it back down to Florida I will grab the one out of my parts car. Wish I had it here. My car would be on the road already if I did.

    Re: VIPER1988's 87 hatch

Finally back on the road. Trans is a little rough. Hopefully its from sitting dry for the past 5 years and will smooth out as I drive it more. Pgm-fi came on with code 12. Will not idle if A/c is on. So I still have a bit of tinkering to do. But it made it to and from town (15 miles each way) with no major issues. Basement seems huge without the car in it lol.

Not sure if someone wants to add this to the 5speed swap how to. But, I didn't have to ground the pink wire for cruise to work. I had a plug dangling under the dash already for the clutch switch. Plugged that in and cruise works as its supposed to. Turns off with brake or clutch.

    Re: VIPER1988's 87 hatch

Got a few more things done. Replaced one of the small coolant hoses on the intake(had a pin hole in it), replaced egr valve(still get code 12)(Solved, clogged vacuum chamber), and adjusted the idle. Still likes to die at idle with a/c on sometimes. Not as bad as it was tho. Next I need to track down a battery draw. Brand new Diehard gold battery goes dead after 2 days of sitting.

check the auto tensioners for the seatbelts in the doors, you have the doors with the belts hanging off them right? the pre tensioner solenoids end up staying on and killing the battery, common problem

Thanks for the info. My seat belts are in the pillars tho. Not the doors. Have to find a new fuse for my multimeter before I can check anything.

ok, the change to the door belts happened sometimes in 87, so I wasnt sure which ones you had, you lucked out and got regular belts

Guess I must have left a door open or something. Battery hasn't died on me again. Still haven't figured out why a/c causes it to die at idle. An old knee injury is making it difficult and painful to drive the 5speed. So unfortunately I will be putting the auto box back in. All the 5speed parts will be for sale after the swap is done. Will make a separate thread with pics.

Well that sucks. The upside is that the 3g autos are great transmissions. They are very responsive and almost psychic about knowing what you'll want them to do. You really have to be a die-hard purist to justify a swap.

I've always preferred manual trans. 8 out of 11 cars I've owned have been manual. About 2 years ago I slipped off a metal roof and ripped my left knee down to the bone. Highway driving isn't bad, but the stop and go traffic in town gets painful. I need to have the auto trans rebuilt at some point. Leaks at case seams and the shifts are on the slow side. Not half bad for 356k miles.

I just finished working on a steep pitch metal roof today. As I sat up there, I war-gamed how I would ride it down should I fall off. The house is surrounded by pine needles, so the landing would be okay. The ride down, over sharp bolts, was much less okay. Thank god I finished before reading your post.

Haven't been on here in a while. Been Busy. Both kids in school (off for summer now), new job, new car... Put about 13k miles on the 3gee since the engine rebuild. Runs like a champ. Shes been moved to "Project on hold" status. lol. Will be a few years before I can afford to do anything.

    Just got this yesterday

Sorry for crappy cell phone pics. Haven't been able to find the good camera.

I have a good rebuilt automatic transmission that you can have for free for your project car. I'm in northern Indiana.
