Question Pistons on the trunk lid???

I'm not sure if this is where I should post this, but here goes... Has anyone put those little piston thinys (like on a hatch's hatch) on their trunk??? My trunk lid always slams down...I think those bars that're supposed to act as springs are shot. And it doesn't help that I've put Dynamat on the lid, either!! Here's a link of what I'm talking about: http://www.spdhardware.com/gs5.htm
Something like that anyways. You get the idea. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions??? Thanks

Click on the link and envision a hatchback lid going up. Those pistons/hydralics/whatever that hold the lid up are what I'm talking about...you have any clue as to how I would install them??? thanks

I am going to do that when i move my amps to the trunk lid in the winter/spring. I dont think it will be that hard except for the lower mounting point.
