guess whos back? back again? cah is back! in a 3gee again! na na na nana na na na na LOL

had 119k miles when i picked her up! its a 4 on the floor fuel injected 88 lxi with factory leather! has cupholders and arm rest !

currently she is sitting in garage with the transmission removed just replaced the clutch, rear main seal, flywheel. need to put the trans back in! will post more pics in a day or 2 along with updates. dont have to upload any atm

Super congrats on a very clean ride! What are your plans for it? You said it's a four on the floor? Is that because 5th gave up? Looks like your painting skills will come in handy on the trunk lid.

Zomg Del Taco! They used to be here hundreds of years ago, I miss them. All we have is real Mexical restraunts and taco smell (bell) both are hit and miss depending on location.
That sales invoice! That was a lot of $$$ for a car in tbe 80's. I cant believe that guy gave up his coupe, well it goes to a good home for sure

Thanks snooz! , plans are to make her good and reliable before anything else! haven't thought much passed that!. yeah 5th gear is a 2nd neutral, the other gears all shift like butter so ill be replacing the 5th gear on this trans when i get around to that!.

i wont be painting this one! gonna try and bring the paint back to life with some clay baring and a good wax and polish. but later on i will have a pro paint job done!.

Del taco is much tasty! taco hell is nasty (N) . and yeah she was expensive new for her time! but considering it has factory leather and all the bells and whistles i can see why!

phernolgy was sad to sale her and liked it better then his current car but he didn't have the time or place to fix her up and he found it sad seeing her rotting away on a curb. shes back on the road now though!

anywho some updates

clutch, flywheel, rear main seal, rod bearings, main bearings, oil pan gasket, oil, has all been replaced. new asin timing belt kit just came in the mail today along with cam seal and front main seal. waiting on my new radiator hoses to show up and it will be time to get back to work. was up late night changing the clutch on my step dads 95 accord as well....and have to do his timing belt soon as well! gonna be 2 like new accords sitting in the driveway soon haha..

Thanks snooz! i also like the enkies but the tires on them are far from being safe for anything beyond a quick trip to the store. and the tires on the LS meshies are brand new falkens. I want to try and find some oldschool blade style rims in 15s! then i can just swap my tires over . but new engine must come first

LOL . well i got about 30-40k (in 6 months haha) out of a set of falkens on my old civic. it was out of alignment and lowered as well.. lol the tires came with the car only had 3k miles when i got it. and do grip the canyons ! . unfortunately i had to get one replaced with a no name used tire due to a blow out going threw a flooded out road.

I lov these car. I have a 89 LXI just like ypurs. I added Daytime running LEDs, LED mirrors, and fender turn light. I remove that funky ant and added a shark fin gave it a clean paint and new dual axaust pipes. Enjoy

Ok, my curiosity was biting hard about the hood/grill trim. I did some googling and found out they came from a 1986-87 Accord. Grrr. Ashame the hood pieces aren't the same or I'd switch mine in a heartbeat. LoL Hmm I wonder if the 88-89 EDM Vigor hood pieces would work with it. LOL

yeah i switched the grille, headlight eyelids and marker lights to the 86-87 accord sedan style. i just always liked them better myself lol

Have you decided on how to fix the driver door panel where the covering is torn on the lock end of the door? I noticed it in a pic you posted on 3/27/14. I have that same issue.

nope lol still the same. doesnt bother me THAT much since it cant be seen when the door is shut. but one day ill get to fixing it!
