    removing the factory exhaust cutout

since I have an exhaust that exits just under the edge of my bumper, the factory outlet area was looking kind of dumb, so I got rid of it lol. I used a section cut from the opposite side of my junk bumper, I used an aluminum plate with vhb adhesive to anchor it in place, then I fiberglassed over everything from behind, The gaps on the visible side, will be filled with flexible bumper compound. I'm at the fiberglass part right now.

    where the new exhaust exits

Is there any concern about the mixed media of the patch? I would be afraid of the rigidity of the aluminum/fiberglass not getting along with the plastic and flexible filler

I know fiberglass sticks to these bumpers,as I fixed the corner with it, it's a matter of getting the surface prepped right, the material is a little different then your typical flexible bumper, as they are pretty rigid
