Don't know why, just did
it is a 400 watt pioneer, 10 inch
i dont have an amp, i am just going to run it off of my 6x9's
do you think it will work

:lol...no. was it one of those return buys? you have to have SOME power running into the sub, otherwise, you wont have ANY volume whatsoever. Oh...and how did you get it for $1?
