    Car sputters

When I would be driving the car would sputter when it would reach higher speeds and rpm's and the check enging light would come on. When I would push in the clutch and give it gas the check engine light would turn off and I could continue driving. Can this be associated with the Main relay. I know my main relay is bad since a few weeks ago. I resoldered the joints and it worked for awhile. But know the car doesnt turn on. Thanks

Check the ecu code under the drivers seat. Count how many times it blinks and check with the FAQ.

I think the main relay is shot becouse the PGM-Fi light doesnt come on and i don't hear the fuel pump. I have already tried soldering the dry joints. So i need to get a new main relay.

im not sure on a FI car. look and see if they are crimped. thats the prob with mine. but on a carb car, you take the fuel line off and turn the key and see how much fuel comes out. Also it may be cloged injectors, weak fuel pump or some ignition prob
