    How To: Install Chedda's LCA's

Alright Guys Gal's and in between's this is goona help you a 100 times over when installing this lovely LCA's. First thing first you will have to cut and mod somethings to get them to fit. So if your not one to cut you car a little they are not for you. Second take you're time or pay for it later.

Now lets get to it. Step one get you car up in the air both side of the rear should be up this way you have a level space to work and see what the arm's doing.

After the car is up you'll need to move the old LCA's and the brake line bracket for the hard lines. On the side that the muffler on this is also a good time to drop the muffler down and remove the hanger on that side you'll need the extra room later.

Now here's were the cutting and grinding comes in.
Take the brackets and cut into 2 part's then grind them down some to make the clear the new lca's. Sorry I didn't take a photo of the cut's I made but I will have take a shot of to later when I do messy's. What you trying to do here is make it so the top and bottom parts where the bolt holes are is all you have like a spacer almost. in this photo you can see where the bottom hit's

Here's a stock one. Here you can see the bracket and where you'll want to cut it. mak your cut's at the bend so the its straight. where the bend is will hit on the top and bottom part of the bracket.

after they are cut and shaved down a bit install the new arm I would start with the drivers side first. When instilling them start by use a it of grease to make them easier to side in to place. Start with the inner bolts and then the out side.

Here's where you need to take you time.

When bolting them in place leave them some what lose(hand tight). They need room to move in to place and settle. Plus you'll need to rise and lower the trailing arm to see how much room you have. you may have to the new moded brackets off and shave them down more to get the right clearest needed. thing goes for both sides. by rising the arm and lowering it couple times the will help get the bushings to seat. After you have made absolutely shore noting will hit you'll take the long bolt the holds the arms to the knuckle all way back out and but flat washer on. one near the bolt head and 2 before the little arm's bushing. this will help save the bushing and the act as a space to push the arm forward some. Then tighten it back up hand tight Raise and lower the trailing arm a couple more time to make sure everything clears. Then tighten them all the way up and move the trailing arm up and down.

Side one complete. Side two is the same but you have to also bend part of the sub frame up and out of the way so the car doesn't bottom out on it. You can cut remover shaved down this part if you want.

as you can see in the photo with the car in the air the exhaust will hit. I fixed this by remove the hanger right where the muffler bolts on. If you have redone yours you may not have it anymore so you're fine. Then just do the same thing as in side one and you're done.

We have been working together since the beginning. We knew some mods would required for clearnace reasons during design. The small parts you do have to modify enabled myself to retain then large overall width to guarantee strength and function rather than simply a nice looking part.

Thank you very much Richard and we will be working together again shortly.
