    engine swap or turbo ?

What do guys think would be the best option for more power ?
To swap to a b20a if you can find one and get the parts needed for the swap or go with b16 or to just stick it out with our a20 and put that money towards a turbo setup.
What would be the best for reliability, gas milage and lowest $$.
Obviusly with the turbo setup a engine rebuild would be in order.
So what to ya guys think is the best setup, what would you do ?

PS . I tried to make a poll don't know if it'll work

IMHO the b16 is easiest in regards to finding parts. That's the path I'm taking this winter.
    Now:
    -1988 Honda Prelude custom
-1988 Honda Accord (to be fixed and sold)
    Soon:
    -some big 4x4 truck
    -91 Acura NSX

i am gonna build up my car as far as i can without turbo then work on that... at first i wanted to jump right into the turbo project, but i have a LOT to learn, so i will just build up the a20 for now, and when i reach a peak, i will start thinking about the turbo plan!

I agree with netfreak, the swap will be harder than the b20 swap, but you could redily find parts for that engine if you blow it up, unlike the b20, which is rarer and prolly cost more, and you cant find performance parts for it. Turbo and nos will cost way way too much to do with the a20, itd prolly have to be completely rebuilt and even then im not sure if youd get the performance youre after, i mean thats alot of custom work... big $$$$

The B20A is not as hard to find parts as you may think. I have found one place that will get you anything you want with a VIN# of the car that came with the B20A. Also i know of one place that has parts and can get them (may be time consuming) and last I know a dealership that you can buy direct from in Europe. I have been doing a lot of work lately trying to make this happen because i had issues with parts as well.

As for the motor i can find Gold tops with 5spds all day but there is a lack of Black tops around. I will follow up when i verify all my information is true and is reliable.

Well i know for sure the Intake manifolds are different but i was curious to see if the A20 and the B20 (88/89) style had the same part#. Basically the gold top is the 86/87 style and the black top is the 88/89 style. I would prefer to start with a black top but looks like i may have to get a gold top instead but we will see. I am planning on buying the motor in January to give me more time to find a black top. I did find a long block but i dont want to search for a 5spd etc.
