    Question civic rear-end conversion

I've thought about taking the back half of an '88 or so Civic SI and using it to replace the back half of my lxi sedan. I love the aerodeck design but i live in the states, and can't afford to import oene. I would like some input on the idea, any problems or ideas on how to do it.

Yeah it would either end up being the same to convert or probably more that it would to import

you mean import the aerodeck or just the tails?

I'd love to see and aerodeck in the US.

but yeah I've seen a civic hatch that looks pretty similar to the aerodeck

a good shop could do that for you in about 10 hrs work give more so then tyake...doing it your self would take ;liek 40hrs work...
it all depends on what you want to spend...eithe rway its going to cost a lot of money or a lot of time....just making a front lip fit right on teh accord cost me $65 for materials, and 10 hrs work...
imagine basically cutting a civic biumper to fit...it's not as easy to just cut it hold it in place then fix it....lots more to go through and teh materials aren't as cheap as like bondo since you need a "plastic" filler rather then fiber glass filler...

    anyways good luck

It is totally possible to do this but the fact that you are asking means that you don't possess the skills to do it. There is no way that it will ever be financially affordable to do this unless you are very rich.

Here is a picture of an 82 toyota front end matched to a 93 blazer back end.

it would be cheaper to import the aerodeck into US. the car will cost maybe $2500 and shipping should be around $1500 for a container, don't go with open deck shipping it will get damaged faster. Comtainer is lot safer too.
plus i am not sure how much for custom and shit like that. oh yeah, if you live in a state where you need to pass emissions, well you can say good bye to that idea. Aerodeck has no emissions.
