From Paraguay
Hello guys! Here I'm back again after a long time without acessing the 3geez.com , too busy with my college hehe aaand my clutch still sucks...
In a ebay search I founded these kits:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/290675730239?redirect=mobile
This one says that is specific for my EL1 engine but, it is very pricey !
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-ACCORD...e77533&vxp=mtr
And this exedy kit , I prefer the exedy, but didn't find one in a good price yet...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Exedy-OEM-Cl...d63e54&vxp=mtr
This one have the most decent price for an clutch kit and shipping , 90bucks
Other sellers want about 300,00 bucks they will send it by horse?
With my research information, I founded that the EK1 cltch is a little bit smaller than the EL1 clutch am I correct?
Any opinion is welcome

Check if this site has the clutch you need
http://www.clutchcityonline.com/honda_accord.htm
or rockauto.com may also have it.
If it ain't broke... I fix it!
Thanks ecogabriel, but sadly they don't have the part for my engine/gearbox...
RE: The Daikin "Clutch Kit" WTF?! Really? 20 bucks? No way!!! That's gotta be just the clutch disc, and even that is pretty cheap, I'm not sure I'd trust it.
I replaced my clutch last year and paid about 68$ for it. I can't remember the brand but it might have been an Exedy too. To be honest I think around 70$ or more is what you're gonna have to pay for a decent clutch kit (Clutch disc, pressure plate, grease, throwout bearing and hopefully alignment tool). Remember you at least don't have to worry about getting something that has to handle a lot of Horsepower, so you don't necessarily have to get the most expensive one. I realize you want to get a name you will be familiar with and I don't blame you, a clutch is not something you want to just get from any random company. I know you may feel 70 is a bit much but I promise you you'd pay a LOT more for the same equipment for a newer car, so relatively speaking it's a bargain at that price.
Just my 2 cents....
Oh, and for some reason they ARE different between the EL and the Ek-1...Which I think is kinda lame...the EK-1 clutches are cheaper...why would the larger engine have a smaller (and cheaper) clutch? Odd.

The '76-78 EF & EG 1600 engines have a smaller flywheel & clutch than '79-81 EK/EL 1751/1602cc giving a much more free revving & less torquey character, despite a longer stroke normally reputed for the opposite.
I'm not so sure of any differences between EK & EL.
Thanks for the reply, guys now I have to find the EL clutch, since I founded that it's different from the EK1.... lostcostguy, the price of 70 bucks is not the problem for me, my problem is the 300 bucks shipping....
But thanks for the tip anyway
300$? Holy ####!!!!
That's just insane...please don't take this wrong but stuff like that makes me glad I'm in the U.S. although I'd LOVE to see Brazil!
Have you checked out Rockauto (Dotcom)? I don't know what their shipping policies are but I do know they usually carry just about any "replaceable" part I need. You won't exactly find new door panels or anything on there but they carry everything from Power Steering pumps to AC compressors, brake cylinders to axles... Anyhow, best of luck to you and please keep us posted on your progress!
Hey guys, so I still looking for the clutch kit, now my car seems to have the parkinson disease... It feels like I'm doing the Harlem Shake when I come out from my garage or from an traffic light haha
The lostscotiaguy told me the EK1 clutch is a little bit different of the EL1 , but some guys tell me that they are the same... Now I'm confused haha
Like Shakespeare would say "buy the EK1 clutch kit , or not buy? That is the question" hahahahaha
Thanks
