Mugen b20a-3g accord motor or 3g prelude motor!

Alright ive been on this sight trying to say this motor is from the 3g accord instead of 3g prelude! A thread on here was posted awhile ago and we declared it was indead the accord b20 not the 88-91 prelude b20a. What do you guys think? Some people on the sight agree with me but some dont.

    Here is the pics!

Here is the link to the fourm im talking about.

The things that catch me as the accord b20a are the distributor, front mount holes, ps bracket holes, ac brkt holes, side mount holes. If that were for a prelude i would think those mounting points would be different especially the side mount holes. The things that throw me off are the bottom of my b20a (86-87) does not have that little extra lip before the oil pan, cam gears are smaller, and it appears to have a balancing shaft setup.

So it could go either way IMO if it is from a 3rd generation honda. But the balancing shaft throws me way off because i did not think they used those until the mid 90's.

ok soo adam. i emailed the guy who took the pic and they is wat he said

hey man, i'm sorry but i don't know which car that motor came out of... i only know as much as you do. in a search, i found that the B20A is found in both the '87-'89 BA4/5 Prelude and '89.5-'91 CA3 Accord.

    check out this link:
