Guy at Discount Tire found a set of 20s that would fit on my car. Bling bling yo. Who say you can't have a donked out 84 Accord. It would definitely be a sweet box. Do ya feel me, G?

Re: 4 to 5 lug Conversion.

oh man John I just threw up in my mouth a lil.

Ok, so yeah SOHC, you can fit 17's on your car. I've never seen 17x6, as the 17x7 or 17x7.5 are much more common sizes. Either way, the key is the offset on the wheels, and using the proper sized tire for our cars.

Can you do a 5-lug conversion? Absolutely, but I don't think any member has found a direct bolt-on 5-lug hub that works for the 3G. However, yes I know of at least one member that has 5-lug (at least in the rear), but that's not for street use.

In all reality, if you were to bring a set of hubs to a machine shop, they should be able to drill a 5-lug pattern into the hub and press in studs. I guess the only real gain here is the ability to use an OEM 5-lug wheel if you're dead-set on using that wheel. ...or if a set of wheels you insist on having are only available in 5-lug.

So far though, even if another member has wanted to do it, they have not yet done so. Maybe due to cost or maybe just the difficulty or time involved in doing it.

Right on Mark, Thanks for the tip. I'll mostlikely use the 17x7`s. should be hard to find a decent set of new shoes for my car!

Re: 4 to 5 lug Conversion.

^^^ Just look at the VW guys, many of them are 4x100 and get 5 lug bbs wheels re-drilled to the right bolt pattern. Many of them do it, and quite often. However if you really want BBS's, keep your eyes open... www.vwvortex.com classifieds and www.memoryfab.com you will find some, but they won't be cheap I warn.

Now to SOHC, 17's fit without a problem, just make sure you don't go wider then 7.5" and keep the offset fairly high as in +40 to +45 mm. As long as you do that, and get a 205/40/r17 tire you should be ok, many members have done it in the past.... I can't imagine you will be able to lower the car a whole lot without rubbing issues with 17's though, but I could be wrong.

very true on almost all of that but you CAN lower the car my buddies coupe was sitting atleast 3" down on those size tires with very little rubbing problems.. but his camber was not corrected, wich most likely helped a little...but the ride wasnt great and he constently had to avoid any little bumb in the road.. wich im guessing could get anoying... might be better set with some 16"s with some meat on the rim

on to the 5 lug conversion... kinda seems like a step in the rong direction if your only doing it for bling factor or rims... i could see doing it to fit bigger brakes but that can allready be done on 4x100's... so my question is why

I found a set of rims that where 5 lug, but I recently went back to the search and found a wicked set of 4 lug. 17x7. I'll try and find the 16x7`s though.

here`s a link to view the rims I found

i looked at adaptors for 5 lug accord wheels and it moves the offset too far out.

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I was whippin' up on a camaro ss I twisted my wheel studs right off - it was scary man. Do what I did, get yourself a set of '62 grand prix 8 -yes 8- lug wheels. Now I can run with the big boys!
