Well i thought i was immune to all this...i was feeling pretty good actually because i have a bad track record and i havent had a wreck, ticket or anything in a while. I was home for THIRTY MINUTES afternoon, i go to leave and i see fucking taillight on the ground.....i got hit and run....

Definately get ourself checked out. The other persons ins has to pay your medical bils so dont worry. Also if you get yourself one of those lawyers that only get paid of you win you will be all set. Dont feel bad about etting a lawyer either cause the insurance is going to try and screw you over so better them than you.

as, in the perfect world, people on the highway are supposed to CHANGE lanes and let you merge. But we all know that RARELY happens. I see it all the damn time, truckers, only vehicle on the road, in the right lane, see me merging and they speed up/slow down to try to intentionally get in my way. Pisses me off beyond no end.

A yield does not mean merge... it means come to a rolling stop, and if safe to do so procede without stopping... if there is lots of traffic it makes perfect sense to come to a stop.

legend,thats not that bad,mine was hit just like that when i got it and i was able to straighten it out,the body is straight too,i put it on the rack and checked. I had to replace the metal trim,the taillight,then i had to straighten out that corner,and beat the hatch floor down. also straightened out that corner with hammer and dolly work. by old rear bumper was hit in the exact same spot,just like that. the back of the body is easy to fix,everything is flat. the lights stick out beyond the body,also the trim,everything is bolted to a flat surface. i'm looking at your gas door,it's not distorted,the bumper loooks like the body is pushed in,because the metal bumper is designed to collapse in a wreck,to absorb energy. you'll need to replace the metal bumper.

You can't see it but the c pillar is bent as well. I'm just going to find another hatch and transfer it all over. I have no body working skills at all, or time. Also here is a link to my new DD

well if you lived on this side of the country i would straighten that out. but if you transfer at least it's still a hatchie. hey when your ready to transfer,i might buy that right light from you, and the unbent half of the metal trim. they always rust on the right side, so i need a ready made patch panel.
