he said once he gets money+ free time he can make a few. He can make them really anytime anyone wants one as long as they pay, but he wants to make a batch instead of a bunch of singles over time.

the singles will cost much more to produce than batchs. You gotta factor in labor time, as well as the fact that he made the program to make two at a time. Cost will be much higher on an individual basis.

Re: Blueprints - 4G ACCORD DISTRIBUTOR OBD-1 Adapter Plate

Hey guys, I have to apologize for not being around much lately and I figure I should let you know what's going on. About 3 weeks ago we had sort of a meltdown at our shop. It's a really long story loaded with drama, but the conclusion is that our machinist has been scamming us for the last year or so.* Needless to say he won't be working with us anymore. But that also means that most of our work has to be sent out to other shops until we can sort out the whole situation.

The upside is that now I've been forced to learn to run the full CNC mill so when I do get around to make the adapter plates I'll be able to make more of them faster. I'm not sure when that will be but I'm trying to get to it as soon as I can.

I won't need any money up front. I'll just start making parts and keep making them as they sell. The materials are relatively inexpensive so it's not a big deal to make extra parts and sit on them for awhile.

So that's the deal. And thanks to everyone for hanging in there for so long. It's been a struggle but we will get there. When I have parts available I will let you know.

Well, considering the state of the economy and the fact that we are still alive, I would say we aren't doing half bad.

Anyway, I thought you guys might be at least slightly interested in something I've been working on over the last couple days.

Four distributor keys are nearly done as well, just need to add the groove for the snap ring. So I know the first two are going to LX-Incredible and then we'll have to figure out who is next in line. Let me contact LX-I and see how he wants to work this, as I think he has the seals and maybe some bolts that are supposed to go with this also. So stay tuned.
And I'll be getting more material here shortly for another batch so don't worry about missing out.

Re: Blueprints - 4G ACCORD DISTRIBUTOR OBD-1 Adapter Plate

Alright, so since this has been going on for so long I think I'm just going to use this latest list for the order in which to ship the parts. 87Roach contacted me by PM and it sounds like he may be ready for the parts very soon, so EricW and Strugglebucket, could you PM me and let me know where you guys are at and how soon you need the parts? Because if either of you don't mind waiting just a bit longer I could send 87Roach his parts so he can get going with his conversion. We're finally getting control of things at the shop and we have a bit of a breather so I can actually focus on this now. I'll be doing the next batch ASAP and I fully expect to have them done next week.

So lets get this list going again and make it happen!

I don't mind waiting for the next batch.

I've been working 70 hours a week so I don't expect to be doing much work on the car for a bit. I still have to get an f22 distributor, lol.

i'm pretty sure the castings are the same, but if not it's the one with the external coil...

as for the internal coil, if you wanted to run one the 92-95 non-vtec civic distributors are the same housing as an f22 external coil.
