Hmmm, I'm going to have a custom cat-back made for me this week. I just don't feel right using 2.5", I'm going with 2.25" I will never get a cam so I don't see the point of going to 2.5" Just my 2 cents.

If our engines were more than 2.0l then it may be worth using 2.5 piping....but I am with Jim, I would say 2.25 piping is the best unless you are running a turbo or NOS. Infact I am getting my exhaust redone soon and I will be going with 2.25 piping. One thing I would suggest tho, if you get new piping get mandrel bent for the best flow.

I've got 2.5 in custom piping and a 2.5 in. inlet and outlet super turbo muffler.

This is how i figure it. i have 2.5 in. piping but it's not mandrel bent so at the most constricted part it's at least 2.25 in! So it's just the same. Also the turbo muffler has more back pressure than a straight pipe, or glasspack so i don't loose any torque down low, and i get the flow i need when the revs are up.

I've been able to hang with an RSX on the highway! He punched it and so did I, and he never pulled away... This was out of a toll booth and on a decline, but still i thought i would get dusted... I knew he was racing me cause the speed limit was 55 and we were doing 90 before i let off ( I only have 4 gears... 5th went bye-bye last year.) Ya know i had to redline it in every gear though :-)

custom cold air intake, accel coil, 8 mm plug wires, ngk plugs, custom 2.5 in cat back exhaust, turbo muffler with 3 in. tubes inside.
