Is this for real? Two-Tone Revival, in Spraypaint-O-Color

Deep down you know Mike went out and bought 12 spray cans of stainless steel colored rustoleum...

Okay Okay... I know I should have had the front pair of rims on but the tires were so bald it even had a few holes... and I wasn't sure if I'd get enought time to swap the rims out before a car came.

anywho do you guys like the look or not?
It's not the same rear bumper as before... I have yet to modify this one. I'm also using painted usdm trunk lights and jdm corner lights.

Basicly you donate a certain amount and you are able to post some small images... I've tried to limit myself to posting useful pics to help people fix their cars but now and then I'd throw in pics of my car.

ok two more... this is sort of a progress shot.

I'm missing the corner supports for the Lx-i bumper... so it's sagging at the moment.
The trunk still needed a second coat... and I'm taping up the rear door window trim... the lower trim I removed.

My friend forgot to mention he was taking the pic.... I went to turn on or off the lights and I got caught in the long exposure.

You mean why did I use the USDM trunk lights instead of the JDM ones? I need an 86 - 87 Trunk lig to use the JDM trunk lights.
The reason you can see all the lights on is because it's a long exposure... and I turned the key to the secondposition and threw it in reverse to get those lights on and turned on the hazards for the corners.

I dunno... I haven't washed my car in 2 years... it's been primer the whole time... I just sanded everything down with a pad and wiped the dust off with a slightly damp cloth, then on went 2 coats of spray paint... if I were to add a few coats clear coat it should look real nice, but then Id have to resand the base and respray the areas where the color thins out.
Too much of a pain for me... I'm not into looks... I just wanted a semi painted car.

i have some areas on my car that are spray painted with OEM color match paint so you can't tell that it's there when you look at it but when you wash it those areas feel rough and the sponge doesn't slide over them as nice.

Ture if it's just the base coat then the texture is rough... but with a few coats of clear a good wetsanding and a buff with that 3M polishing compound... it turns out real nice... I tested it on a small area of my headlight cover.

but that requires work, and quite frankly i'm pretty lazy unless i feel like working, and body work doesn't exite me. i'll take greasy over dusty any day. hahhahaha.

Looks nice mike. I would like to see the whole car in daylight and with all the rims on. So it's the rear bumper that's different?

    Nice looking engine bay BTW.
