    accords

There are very few differences. There is a shiftlock release that the 89 accord has, that the 88 accord doesnt. Might be missin something, but other than that the exact same.

    Started with a 89 Accord LXI - 96 Acura TL - 2003 Acura CL Type S..

The 88's had a minor changeover (88 and 89 are the same). A couple things on the list might only be for Canadian models
1)More power for the LX-i/SE-i from the A20A3 (higher compression, better header, and dual stage intake manifold increased the power to 122HP)
2)Different bumpers (86/87 had the indent right in front of the grill while the 88/89 didn't) and bumper turn signal lights
3)Different grill, eye lid trim, and side markers
4)"Light is still on" warning chime
    5)Vent leavers under the dash
6)Standard 14" wheels for the LX-i/SE-i (used to only come in 13" all trim levels)
7)Bigger front rotors and calipers for the LX-i/SE-i
8)Not 100% sure but I heard stiffer suspension (can anyone verify this??)
I probably left some things out so if anyone can add anymore, please add to the list.

Are you talking about the warning chime which comes on when you leave the parking lights on and open the doors?

Yeah, my 86 doesn't have that chime while the 88 does so I just thought they added it later. Also the 88/89 has a different trunk I guess to accomodate the one piece trunk tailight unit (used to be three pieces counting the liscence plate mounting area). Thanks for pointing that out. Oh, didn't they also add a couple features to the LX-i SE-i seats?? Like lumber support or the leaver on the side near the lumbar to pop the seat forward???

    YK86 -

The chime is stuck onto that panel under your steering column. It's 4 screws to see what's up.

    Explain side vent control?

And I thought the front bumpers changed in 88, not 87.

It allows the air to blow out the side vents when you turn it on. I'll have to check the 86 for the chime.

Don't forget, the RWD in the 86-7 runs forever and the 88-9 one is on a 24 minute timer, yo.

    "side vents"

the 88 has a set of levers (cable driven) to the left of the radio that control the outermost dashvents.

The 87 and 88 bumper covers are not the same, I need 88 horn covers, the 87's don't fit

Haha the so called '3rd gen king' doesnt know the differences between the models. Shouldnt you know the most mike? Every post you make is totally illiterate and comes with no knowledge base what so ever. Yeah some of my posts are worthless too.....but I actually make helpful posts more then smart ass ones..learn a little and then make posts? You just made an ass out of yourself once again.....I do it on purpose with my posts.

Its just sad.....maybe thats why you live at home and your 23?!

    I think so.

    Nate.
