need info about tranny?

i have an 88 accord dx 5sp, and my tranny took a dump on me the other day. I cant find any dx around where i live. So i was wondering if an LX-i tranny would work. If it would, is there anything i have to change to put it in(ex. clutch pack). If anyone has any info about this please tell me it would help a lot.

It will drop right in no problem. The only thing is that a few gear ratios are slightly differant, but the final drive is the same so your speedo will still be on the mark.

I highly reccomend you get your flywheel resurfaced and get a new clutch in there since you have to go through all the trouble of dropping the tranny.

Thanks alot for the info. the LX-i tranny is the only one i can find in my area except for buying a new one. I dont have that kind of money.
