    Check my new 89 LXi - 56k: upgrade that shiz

    Ok so im selling my 88 LX because it wont pass smog and as nice as it looks i'd rather have a car that is legal and wont need a shit ton of repairs like that one
    after looking at a lot of ads and a few cars, i decided i wanted another 3g.. so i got an LXi today









    198k miles, bone stock. everything works too as far as i can tell

    looks good, man. and the body doesn't look that bad, actually. the paint still looks pretty nice and not sun faded and all. nice move up.

    wow, lucky find... every laurel blue accord I've seen has that all blue interior. You definately have a decent car there.

    looks nice...you should get it tinted again...i like the way you tint the other one...my friend said he can tint mine for 80 bucks? but im not sure if i want to go 5% now. well nice upgrade now your fuel injected...more power...well good luck with the other one...just dont junk it

    oh man.. dont get me started on the tint haha.. i definitely want to i just dont know if i should. i think i should make sure the car will last longer than the last one because it costs a lot to get good tint installed well

    unless your buddy does tinting a lot and will be using tint not available at retail stores i would take it to a pro.. otherwise you'll end up with purple tint in a year and bubbles and all that crap. call your local dealerships and find out who they use for tinting if you need to find someone who will install tint that looks "factory installed"

    yeah i'm loving the tan with black accenting.. i especially like the black dash and door accents.. nice two tone look going on

    edit: and it's not laurel blue.. it's monterey green sorta a blue green color. probably why the interior isn't blue

    Good find, how much did it cost you? I feel you on the inspection, for some reason my car will not pass. I only have four years before it becomes a classic and all they willl check is the lights .

    wanted to pay less but the guy didnt seem like he was in the mood to bargain, plus i needed a car today.

    it also came with a folder an inch thick with paperwork going back to 1995.. his wife's familiy are the original owners. looks like it's had regular oil changes and tune ups all its life and has had plenty of other maintenance done on it. and it just passed smog yesterday which is a lot more than I can say about the lx :\

    im not used to the clutch yet so it's kinda hard to judge but i did notice when i was driving it home that i had a lot more power on the freeway when passing. If im going 80 and i want to pass, i'll mash it down and the spedo creeps up. In the LXi i could actually feel the acceleration

    Als when i was getting on the freeway i noticed 4th gear went a lot farther than on mine.. like i got more mph per rpm

    My shocks are blown in the LX so it's hard to compare suspension-wise, but the lx-i feels way more solid and less floaty, but like i said that could be the shocks. but the lx-i does have a rear sway bar which the lx does not have

    already did my first "mod" haha switched out the discolored eyelid for the ones off of my LX lol.. i doubt i would have noticed unless i took some pics cause it's not super obvious but it does make a diffence imo.. having mismatched eyelids is just no good :X lol

    will probably slap on my oem vent shades soon and today i realized how much a difference my tinting makes.. i got in the LX with tint and it was warm but not anything bad.. then i got in the LXi which had a sunshade in the front window and it was still an oven

    as soon as i know the car isnt in need of major repairs im probably gonna get some tint slapped on there. might go a little tiny bit darker just cause i've got a light colored interior but we'll see

    a lil photochoppin.. i think the all red looks better than the white signals but i was trying to see what the ebay ones might look like if you redded the center. the all red looks better than stock i think too. not a high priority right now but something to think bout i think the tint looks awesome against the green too

    The middle one looks alright. Maybe a slight improvement over stock, but not nearly enough of one to merit going to the slightest bit of effort for. Stock looks fine.

    well i've actually gotten to drive it somewhat and overall the LXi is a lot more solid and you can definitely feel those extra horses. the LXi will push you in your seat if you accelerate quickly.. not so much with the LX. plus the car doesn't lean nearly as much in turns.

    The LXi engine has a lot more aggressive sound to it.. even with the stock intake and everthing it sounds much more throaty than the carbed LX
