Sweet pics man! You really don't know your car until you've autocrossed it. I think autocross also really shows you what a car can do. The meets I've been going to, this guy has this stock Pontiac Solstice that is so fast. He beats heavily modified Corvettes. I had no idea how badass those little roadsters were.

Are you running a stock suspension? You got some body roll going on, but I can't tell if the amount you have is normal or if it's less.

Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

That looks like a pretty short course, what was a "fast" time on that?

Re: this seasons autox pics(56000bps warning)

its actually a combination of diferent courses, mind you in the same parking lot, but yea its not that big, i still manage to hit 60-65k in 1st gear tho.

the autocross in vernon that i also attend is about 2-3x bigger than this, i actually bring it into 2nd gear almost bringing the engine to 6-6500rpm before some corners, its so much longer.

the parking lot is not flat, it is very uneven actually, there are humps and ribs just sticking up in certain sections. i have some pics comming i think that actually shows my car leaving the ground before comming into the stop box.
when you have to go up and over these uneven patches or break at the top of one it looks that way.

as for my suspension, no its not stock, it has tokico shocks ,w/teg lowering springs, about 2.5-3". i dont know what model of vehicle they came out of, i was just told that when i was sold the car. alot of people have told me that my 2-2.5 degree camber is actually working for me, so i think i'm gonna leave it like that cuz this is all i'm doing with the car anyway. as for my tires, i run a treadwear of 320, so they will last longer than most even tho they dont provide the best traction at times, if i had another set of rims then i would use my dunlop z's for autox as they are a racing tire.

i have another event on thursday night @ the brick parking lot and then again on sunday which is actually the novice champion ship, but because i missed the first 4 of the novice races, i dont get to win anything this year

ps.. teh hoods not cf, i wish it was. mine had a dent in it and gemini gave me this one.

pss.... if anyone knows where i can get a cf hood and a racing steering wheel cheep, let me know lol.

if i had to change cars now, i'd be pretty screwed. i really dont want to learn a new car. i have the 325i sittin there i havent autox'd it yet, i want to but to be honest, i'm kinda scared of it, just drives a diferent disposition.

use to be with my stock coil that after 5000rpm that i would lose power, with the accel coil it wasnt a drastic gain but now i can rev the car to 6 before i lose
before i start feeling any signifigant power loss.

all these little things i've done to the car tho made a huge improvements over just stock, but all that time will get washed away once my efi kit is put on

the accel is cheaper and will give you pretty much the same preformance.

The top of second is what our courses usually run, on this last course i was going up to 7k on in 2nd before some corners and even shifting into third in two places on the course. But we are no confined to a parking lot, we run on a army air field which they practice helicopter landings on and its nice flat concrete and 4 runways of asphalt.

Since you already have racing seats I would recommend that you pic up a harness to use just for autoX. You will love how much better you can feel the car when your not moving around in the seat.

Man, speaking as an American who goes to Canada once in a while; I fucking LOVE Canadian Tire. That place has so much random cool stuff. Maybe its not really that cool, but theres just no place like it down here, so it's cool to me.

i apologize, but when you lived here your whole life and have to deal with a store like that sometimes is enough to drive anyone crazy. ok-ok so maybe the store isnt to bad, but the staff they have working, some of them are..... well lets just say, shouldnt be working there.
