    Testing your electrical system

Found a great link with procedures for testing various parts of your electrical/ignition/starting/charging systems with a multimeter... it's on Fluke's website, so they naturally show all Fluke meters, but a lot of the tests can be done with any $10 Princess Auto DMM, and even the more advanced ones can be done with any properly-equipped DMM.

pretty good reference for basics, maybe this could be a how to link.
You can get DVM from harbor freight tools for like four dollars up, some of them do a remarkable amount of functions. for beginers.
