Cool Finally finished putting together my 'budget' sound system.

Well, this year I managed to finally complete the sound system that I wanted to do last year. I was originally going to go with an all around Jensen system, but I went a different route:

    -(Hyundai branded) Kenwood KDC-MPV622H3 – MP3 player - $50 (plus $15 shipping)
-Pioneer 5¼’s front speakers (used) – exchanged a friend for my 6½” ($20) Jensen’s that I bought last year
-Pioneer 6x9’s rear speakers (used) – (Free?) came with my MR2’s donor car

Finished of the system with my newly aquired:
    -Infinity Basslink – $113 (plus $18 shipping)

Decent sounding ‘budget’ system - ~$250

I must say that Basslink really put the finishing touch to my system. The extra bass was much needed, because my car just can’t seem to handle any bass coming from the speakers, or else the doors will rattle, and so will the 6x9 mounts. I had to set the HPF on the stereo to get rid of that rattle. Sure there is still a little rattling due to the added bass (from the Basslink), but it’s nowhere near as bothersome. Plus I like the stealthy bass that the Basslink gives off, it can be heard nicely in the car, but barely noticeable outside of the car.

Anyhow, I just wanted to share my budget sound system for my beater/DD Accord :p

I got a new phone yesterday, with a fairly descent camera... i just suck at holding the phone steady enough to get a nice focused picture .

    here is the head unit:

i didn't bother trying to take pictures of the speakers... because they are in there stock locations... and look stock from the outside :P

I'll get pics of the basslink later.. the one's i took came out so dark you cant see anything...

how the fuck can you tell he was cold? messy youre fucking weird.

anyway, i used to have a basslink. two to be exact. i think it was one of my first enclosed powered subs. sounds cool actually. very clean and you can definatly hear almost every note quite clearly. i had one of the firsts then upgraded to the one that comes with the optional 4ch built in amp for the door and rear speakers. definatly cool and definatly sounds great. its not so cool brand new since it costs 400 bucks though and you can get a better more bumpier sound system for that. but since you paid 100 bucks....its all coo
