    back up lighs done

I got another small project done,I decided to just mount the aux back up lights fixed for now. I originally built them to be motorized and swing down, but I may just work on that mechanism later. I just don't the time right now,and I really needed to be able to see where i was going. these are 55 watts each side,so they are pretty bright. you can't see them at all ground level. so they are well hidden.
one of my factory backup lights looks brighter then the other because I have the wrong bulb in it.

I ran the power off of these from the 40 amp bus that i have running to the back. they are switched on by a relay from the factory lights. If I can find a small time delay module,I'll wire a second relay so they all come on when you open the hatch, for a predetermined amount of time.

hey now thats is very cool. i like how its pretty much hidden up under the car. i have a couple of sets of projector driving lights, so this may be something i will also try. good work man. also, i have 55 watt halogen 1156 bulbs in my reverse lights. they've been in there a little over 2 years, maybe more. but they arent that bright since they are behind the stock lense.

ooh, now thats a good idea. i myself am trying to decide on an alarm system. i have limo tint and its not really easy to see out the back, especially if its raining like it is now. in the day time its not too bad. but that would make things much easier to see in my mirrors when backing up.

nice. I've thought of doing this before as the original back up lights are totally useless in the dark
