    the b16 hatch is STRANDED....HELP!

I was geting onto a freeway and my throttle cabled snaped mid 3rd to 4th shift sounded like a big balloon went POP

the cable snaped about 1" from the gas pedeal so it snaped inside the car..but when i look under the hood i cant find the rest of the cable...weird

oh yes..my cars cruise was removed so the cable went from the gas pedal to the TB

can i use any FI cable? or does it have to be from a non cruise car?

anybody got one laying around that I can use?

The cruise control has its own cable that connects to the gas pedal, then theres a separate cable that connects to the TB. I assume that you can just use a 3g FI cable.

hard to say. im using a B16 intake manifold modded for an A20, but at the same time the bracket that holds the throttle cable in place is from an integra. i doubt their any different, but i didnt modify anything to fit the throttle cable at all and it fits fine.

yeah when i was researching my b16 mani swap i heard that the Integra GSR cable is the best because our stock cable is long and that one is like 5 inches shorter making it look better under the hood. let me figure out witch one im going to order.

glad to see you got it back up so quickly.

I'm using a stock 86 lxi throttle cable on my B18 manifold, I had to make a custom bracket to get it all to align, but it works pretty well.

But I like newaccorddriver's idea of just using the integra bracket.

the only reason i got myself an integra throttle cable was because of the sketchy bracket that i had made. that and a side by side comparison of the 2 cables were almost identical except for the part which attaches to the pedal, but that wasnt an issue at all.

I used the same thing (b18a) on my swap, Im pretty sure the b16 and b18a use the same throttle cable.
