    Overheating problems

So I've had this car for about a month now and it was perfect the first week. After that the piece of pedal that engages the clutch safety switch fell out and I had to push start it. Got that fixed, but now since i've got it back from the shop the headlight switch started shorting out. Then last night on my way home it just started overheating and a ton of steam was coming out from under the hood. I looked and there's a small crack in one of the hoses.
I comes out of the block right behind the headers and loops back to the firewall and goes through it. This morning i started adding water to the radiator and it took about 24 oz i think, or three cups, then i started the car and it had kind of a high idle which is normal for a cold start but i blipped the throttle a little and it went up to about 2.5-3k and the started bouncing between 1.5 to 2k-ish so i cut it off.

heres a pic of the hose. do you guys think this is the source of my overheating problems?

    Re: Overheating problems

haha that's what some people on some other forums told me too. I just did it this morning and it's still overheating though

I think the fans aren't coming on, my headlights have been shorting out and I think it screwed something else up now so I'm still out of a car.

refill / bleed / check the rest of your hoses
