well after 6 months of being lazy im finally installing my 90-93 accord cold air intake in my 89 lxi! i have a question! im taking off my bumper right now and i took out all the screws, but it still isnt coming out DOH! i just realized theres some on the top of the bumper right under the turn signals, the corner ones, how did u guys get these (to the ppl who took of their bumper) did you take out the corner and then take it out of did you just break/ cut the bumper there? im really lazy and i dont feel like takin off the corner, so is there an eas yway of doing this, some pointers would be great ehlp

yeah, you have to take off the corners to get to those things. that or cut the bumper. those are the only ways.

turn you lights on/raise headlight buckets, and look on the inside corner of the turn signal and you will see to vertical holes and those hole remove your turn signals with a phillips. be careful though they are probally really brittle and make sure you pull them foward b/c i pulled them off sideways and broke the plastic clips that hold them in place

i've never had to take the corner lights off. what i did was take the bumper lights out, take the 4 large bolts out from behind where the lights go. take the screws out of the fenders where the bumper attaches, and then like 3 bolts under the bumper that are attached to the frame. i always just take the whole thing off because i've found it much easier than taking the bumper cover off. save time and hassle.

make sure you coat the exposed edges to thwart the formation and spread of rust.

good job man....i was about to say we dont have to take off the corners....i took off my front bumper and it was only held up by like 6 screws...the 4 on the bumper and the 2 bottom ones. and it has like lil clips on the side....so yeah how does it feel now....like you gained some hp?

dude at first i took it aorund and i was like " fuck me fuck! this didnt do shit" then i let it idle for about 10 mins , (i dont know why), then like 2 hours ago i went out again and that shit hauled alot more than it did before. From like 35 mph up it pulls hard *ER* than it did, its still slow though. it pulls from 3000 rpms and up

mods (if you call them that)

-cold air intake
-4g map sensor
-ported throttle body

you know why it feels like you did nothing? becuase you got a stinking 3" freaking intake!!!

^lol

3" makes a difference but only in the top end really.. like 895spdforfree (http://www.3geez.com/forum/member.php?u=5245) said it pulls past 3000. a slightly smaller diameter intake will give you more torque at lower rpms dude but im sure you'll like it once you get used to it

yeah, it'll pull more up top than at the bottom end. but looks good anyway. i only hope you plan to put a bypass filter on there somewhere. i'd hate to see your 3g downed by a puddle.
