you have other options,go to eastwood.com and look for their tank prep and cleaning kit, basically you remove the tank, add the cleaner in the kit to a gallon of i believe acetone, and use it to clean the tank, then the kit comes with a sealer. these kits are designed to save hard to find tanks.

If you don't go the cleaning route, then that tank should work. I don't know by looking, but if it fits 82-85, I believe all the tanks are the same, hatch or sedan.

Unless your tank is actually leaking or severely corroded, (ie, it's about to be leaking) I see no reason to replace it. But I'm sure that tank would fit anyways, I considered buying one for my car before I realized I have a sandblaster and some paint.

it's not a bad idea to clean and seal any tank this old, i know i plan on doing mine.

Don't get me wrong, I think the sealer is a great idea.
