in the blink of an eye...
Driving to my girlfriends and an auto-x event i came around a curve and an explorer was scraping down the side of another car sideways...
i couldn't avoid it...

1 broken collarbone, the gashes on my head, shin/knee wound, and knuckle wounds... i'm alive though.
Re: in the blink of an eye...
Holy s**t! I'm glad your ok, and its just a car. But dang. So this was caused by ice?
Re: in the blink of an eye...
Oh no, what a mess! Glad to hear that you are alright. Those crumple zones save lives.
Re: in the blink of an eye...
were your wereing your seat belt i don't see how you busted your color bone.....
Re: in the blink of an eye...
Ouch..
glad to see you made it okay with no major injuries.
Re: in the blink of an eye...
time to get another 3g. i guess the worse part is the collar bone. i rember steve broke this and it took a while to heal.
Re: in the blink of an eye...
do those cars have breakaway motormounts? your hood is where your engine should be. if so, you should be thankful for that because that engine could have landed in your lap.
i'm glad to see that as a whole, you're ok. the gashes will heal up pretty quickly, but the collarbone won't be exactly fun.
one thing they don't tell you about seatbelts is that even if worn properly, they themselves can cause broken collarbones. while that makes you not want to wear one, wrecks like this are an example of why you should wear one.
Re: in the blink of an eye...
outch man.....100 buck car down the drain...
Re: in the blink of an eye...
The part that struck me the hardest was the collar bone. OUCH. Hope you get through it fast and can get your hands on another reliable car like that.
