in the blink of an eye...

Driving to my girlfriends and an auto-x event i came around a curve and an explorer was scraping down the side of another car sideways...

    i couldn't avoid it...

1 broken collarbone, the gashes on my head, shin/knee wound, and knuckle wounds... i'm alive though.

Breaking news! What has an H in it!

Re: in the blink of an eye...

do those cars have breakaway motormounts? your hood is where your engine should be. if so, you should be thankful for that because that engine could have landed in your lap.

i'm glad to see that as a whole, you're ok. the gashes will heal up pretty quickly, but the collarbone won't be exactly fun.

one thing they don't tell you about seatbelts is that even if worn properly, they themselves can cause broken collarbones. while that makes you not want to wear one, wrecks like this are an example of why you should wear one.

The part that struck me the hardest was the collar bone. OUCH. Hope you get through it fast and can get your hands on another reliable car like that.
