i just bought the car a 89 accord lx i, when i hit the brakes the front end shakes and the steering wheel does also.this is my first front wheel drive so im not sure what to look for. i can work on cars so im not totaly lost. what could/can this be/ please help thanks......:toilet:
It sounds like your rotors. Check your pads first, and if their ok then have your rotors checked. If they are grooved, then just replace them. They are cheap.

left & right > rotors
front & back > alignment
or is it the other way around ! ??

Your rotors are warped.
Do like Nate says. It's cheap enough to get the rotors replaced instead of machining it. And do both sides.
