tie a fishing weight to about 4 feet of fishing line. attach (i like duct tape) the other end of the line to the antenna cable. drop the weight through the antenna hole on the top of the pillar. the weight will fall through the pillar. you can then use the fishing line to pull the antenna cable through the pillar. its much easier than trying to feed the cable in from the top. just make sure the line is a heavier weight so it doesnt snap.

you can take it in some were and have it replaced its a pain in the ass to get to though you almost have to take the whole dash out to do so
you don't have to pull the dah to get the mast out,is the motor making noise? you can pull the clip at the mast and motor and remove the mast by itself leaving the motor in place
