Alright guys. New pics of the hatchy.
My dad and I worked on installing some new goodies into my car, and fabbing up some stuff this weekend. Finally some interior pics of the hatch!! :eek5:

Got new my corbeaus installed, and my 4 point harnesses. Unfortunately I forgot to get a pic of the harness bar my dad made. You can see what my old seats looked like in one of the pics. Absolutely disgusting under the seat covers.
Also tinted my tails earlier in the week, and I'm thinking about painted the hatch deck satin black to match the tails, and the piece right under the tails.

heh. It's in my dad's new office/shop for his steel erector company. He builds structural steel buildings for a living so when it comes to building harness bars and crap it's pretty hell for stout. Plus working in the new shop was badass. All kinds of tools to play around with.:D

I paid 400 for the pair, and something like 100 for the harnesses.

Nice... Seats look great, very interested in seeing pics of said harness bar though.
And that is an awesome workspace... I try using our shop at work sometimes, but its almost always full when I have my day off.

Thanks man. I'm gonna try to get some better pics of it later in the week. I painted it all dark gunmetal, and used herculiner to make the floorpan textured where floor mats would go. I got tired of the floor mats sliding around on the smooth floor so I figured I might as well just paint them on. Bastards can't move now.

Nice man, those seats are pretty bad ass. Hatch is looking good, did you spray the outside of the tails or inside? Looks like the outside. Your ready to go, cooler and all! :D

yeah man. It was the outside. I'm gonna grab a can of satin clearcoat, and spray them with a few coats of that.

What did you do with your other wheels? You know the five spokes...

I haven't had those on my car since last summer. They're currently sitting in my back yard waiting for new tires. I'm probably gonna end up putting race slicks on them for autocross, but that's definitely not happening till next year.

Very nice Trevor, you just need to get a black carpeting kit and carpet the whole interior. I have a set of tinted hatchback lights still. I'll keep them and let you have them when we meet up again.

Re: Alright guys. New pics of the hatchy.
Alrighty some closer pics of the harness bar, and an explanation on how it's mounted.
You can't see any of this in the pics obviously, but there's a 1x4 inch square hole cut in the b-pillar. We then took a piece of 2x7x1/4 inch plate and welded two nuts onto it. The plate was then slid into the hole and tacked into place with the nuts facing toward the outside of the car. After that a 2x8x1/4" plate was bolted to the outside to get the measurements for how long the bar needed to be. The bar was then cut, and welded in place for the final step.
The bar is so sturdy that I can literally hang from it, and nothing happens.

yep you are correct. My original black dash had burn marks and cut marks in it when I bought it, so I bought a blue one off ebay. that duplicolor vinyl paint is badass as long as you prep the dash right.

lol I know I work there. All of us at the store split the duplicolor that we were supposed to throw away. So I've got a shopping bag full of random colored paint, and some clearcoat. heh
