Re: Welcome to Dick Head Racing inc.Mounts & More

Since there is so much being said about people dropping out, I am forced to respond.

I have very recently had a death in my immediate family. The past several months have been very difficult settling the estate. I have and always had the money for the mounts; however, I have not had the free time or energy to even check myspace let alone read this thread everyday. It is my problem, and I'm dealing with it.

I recommended earlier in this thread that twoloud pm everyone involved and follow through.
    He did not.
If he did, it would have spurned an email which would have gone to my phone, and I would have been taken care of it.
I'm not saying I'm not at fault for forgetting, but I am saying: minimal effort was made by the parties organizing this buy. If adequate effort was made, I propose there would be no people who flaked on this buy.

MUCH applause for getting it ordered. I'm glad even if I'm not getting any: somebody got it done. If it weren't for you, nothing but the few remaining sets of those weak placeracing mounts would exist. Much Respect.

BTW anyone else who "missed out"... check this out:

Turns out its not that big a deal after all.
ANYONE can order up a set whenever u want.

You can order them through innovative but you wont get them untel my GB is done with them and i don't have a E.T.A yet on that. I promised innovative a minimum order of 25 and all i got was a order for 13 mounts so i had to make a new deal with them and gave them full rights to the mounts to keep this deal alive but the good thing starting September they will be available to everone who wants them they are also working on axles and traction bar so this worked out to be a good thing to keep 3gens Accord's alive for a little longer.

any idea if the traction bar is gonna be for b-series only? although i cant image why it wouldnt fit with an a-series...b-series is harder to clear. What kind of axles?

the traction bar is for b-series to go with the mounts now for the axles they are not going to be stock from what they are telling me they should hold up to 500+ Hp. I am waiting for them to for my accord.

Right... but are we getting one with our mounts?

The inovative traction bars I've seen for the civics do not incorporate this mount.

If nothing else, if they wind up making these traction bars, they can make it with the a20 front mount on it, and for an additional charge they can include an adapter for the b-series mount.

Re: Welcome to Dick Head Racing inc.Mounts & More

I know this is off topic but it really seems to be the best place to post. With my gsr swap ive got a b18c and the previous owner put a jdm b16 head on it. both are vtec, both seem to be the same. he said it raises the CR. Can anyone verify this or tell me if this was infact a good idea. Also with my current biuld, what would be the next most obvious thing to upgrade on these engines? fuel, exhaust, intake. im not going for max power but Id like to max out the stock motor before putting lotsa into it. Thanks guys

Re: Welcome to Dick Head Racing inc.Mounts & More

the b18c/1 head will raise the compression due to smaller combustion chambers.

the b16 will lower the compression on your b18c... you don't ever really need to upgrade fuel (as in pressure) on them, maybe injector size if you are building it for higher numbers... definitely normal things, exhaust, header, intake, skunk2 manifold, maybe a cam... have some fun that way. nothing too serious.

huh thats gay, lower than stock CR might be a good candidate for my small T3 turbo I have lying around. Do you know what the CR is probably closer to? Also whats a decent not too costly cable type trans for this route

They'd probably need to beef it up a bit to take the added stress of a main motor mount... I now have the steel and bushings for the A20 mounts I'm building. After I'm done with those I'll see if I can come up with a good design for one and upgrade the front mount at the same time...

cable trans for NA is the ys1 from a b16, for turbo you can go ls ys1/s1.

as for the cr i don't know what it is off hand but it's only a tad lower... the biggest thing though is that the b16 head has way better cams in it so it wouldn't be too much of a loss... the b16 head is close to the type r without the porting and more agressive cams... so i would stick with the b16 head. they love boost too.
