Carbon Fiber Help

I have a carbon fiber hood on my 3g and the clearcoat has began flaking off in a few areas. Is there anything I can do to repair this and make it look good again or am I just screwed.

take it to a shop the wont charge much to re do the clear

when you bought the hood, did you get some clear sprayed on?? if not then theres your problem.

i want a carbon fiber hood damnt but after i get my rust fixed.. the whole thing about me asking if i can get a hood is that i can get a shop to order one for me cause if there avalable in so gonna rice it up tee hee

they are like 300 bucks plus shipping.....just sand your hood it wont kill you to sand a whole 3-4 hours

Every once in a while you can find one cheap on ebay. NO name brands make them. I have a VIS on my civic and it hasn't peeled in the 6 years it has been on. I think the main prob I have with my accord is it sat for 7 months while I was waiting on diamond for parts. SHortly after the clear began peeling. If I would have taken care of it it probably would have lasted longer. No I have a car cover.

They have went up a bit. They are about $400 on ebay but now they have colored carbon fiber hoods. $600 and I can get a red one that won't stick out as bad as the black. Now I just have to sell my 96 grand am so I can buy some parts.

Ya, my body man has a CF roof on his civic, and had the clearcoat start to peel cuz it was his first time working with CF, he sanded it down and recleared it and hasnt had a problem since.

so we can buy carbon fiber hoods on ebay for the 3rd gen? cuz i just looked and all i see is 4th gen and up! Please show me the way!lol!
