I'm interested but dont have the money as of yet. What price would this be in AUD? And how much for shipping? Also as I'm not that mechanically minded, would I need to do anything else to the engine if I got this part or could it just be fitted without any other mods.

The cam gear is pretty easy to remove, I usually go via the camshaft.

First loosen the camgear bolt. then rotate the crank till the camgear is at TDC or "UP" then use some marker and find the closest belt tooth above the "UP" mark and mark the belt.

Open up the valve cover, remove the rocker assembly that holds the camshaft in place and then tilt the camshaft towards the belt side of the motor to lose the tension on the timing belt.

When you slide off the stock gear be careful to maintain tension on the timing belt (pull upwards).
As you slide the gear with the belt off of the camshaft look for the little notch in the camshaft and try and take out the key that is in that knotch and place it somewhere safe and in reach.

Don't lose the little key that fits into the groove at the end of the camshaft. The key locks the cam gear and camshaft together.

Still holding the gear and belt as one, try and remove the belt but still pull on the belt upwards so the timing belt doesn't slip off the bottom gear that is on the crank.

Get the new gear in the belt, using your allignment mark to find the proper tooth. Now place the key in the camshaft and tilt the camshaft a little to slide on the new gear.

With everything on the camshaft, hand tighten the bolt and then lay the camshaft back down. Then resecure the rocker assembly using the correct bolt tension and tigtening sequence.

now you can tigten the camgear nut with a wrench.

turn the crank by hand and double check TDC (top dead Center) on the crank flywheel or auto trans disk and the cam gear.

You'll need 10mm, 12mm, & 14mm to work the head to swap the gears.

the last round of golden eagles had bolts with 5/16", 12-point heads.

kinda off topic, but still head related, im trying to see if i can get the new cam i got installed, wich shouldnt be a problem, i think. my question is how can i change the valve seals?? ive heard you need to take the whole head off the car to change them, but i dont want to. how can i do it?? is there a howto somewhere?? please help

Well... You dont HAVE to take the head off, but that is the best way. If you dont want to take head off: (I am assuming your talking about valve stem seals)
move engine to TDC (duh)
Remove rockers, cam, blah blah until you get to the valves but leave springs on for the moment
Remove spark plugs
Stuff somthing down into the hole where the spark plug was, something that will keep the valves from falling into the chambers (a rag or something)
Remove valve springs
Replace seals
Put everything back together.

thats how i had thought about doing it. anyone else thing this is the easiest way to doing it?? or while im at it, should i just take the head off?? i dont want to though what else would i have to do??
