    Re: ??????????

[QUOTE=3g Jester]most pro draggers use auto's, but those are race quality autos...not stock late 80's autos. a little silly and too many gagues. that redulous tach has got to go....especialy since you really cant shift.

those silly guages are so you can keep a eye on whats going on with air/fuel mixtures, boost levels, fuel pressure ect.(so you dont f**ck you'r motor up.)
i have about $2500 in the bottom end alone, it would be ashame if i blew it up cause i didn't know i was running too lean.

i am not trying to be a dick, but i figured i would give my opinion on my silly guages and my non-quality auto.

[QUOTE]however. i award your big cajones for the turbo set up. very cool again...

    Re: ??????????

The meet is gonna be somewhere in the springs, probably right off i-25 somewhere

since the springs guys have been driving up to denver, i feel its us northerners turn to drive down there

also, if superaccord is going, he has no 5th gear... so im going to make him leave like 35-40 minutes before the rest of us haha

    Re: ??????????

the big draggers use a progressive clutch no real gears that is why they have what looks like 3-4 shifters as you go down the track you push another "shifter " which put more pressure on the clutch or engages another clutch plate.
saw it on hot rod t.v. couple years ago this was the big monster dragsters not the pro stocks , trnasmissions were basically one big clutch

what do you guy's think would be the best way to go stand alone?
    i have a holley commander950...

    4g dist.
vacume to digital conversion from crane.
    hall effect pickup.
    magnetic pickup.

so far the crane conversion has the best price.
