    Question What the hell is it?

    I just got a 89 accord off a freind that gave it to me. my question is there is a control arm thing on the dash just under and to the left of the wheel. it pulls out and has a arrow pointing at the dash on it, It dosn't seem to do any thing so my question...... What the hell is it?

    pull out push down, tilt steering wheel up or down... lift up push in, wheel locked in place, go for drive, get cheese burger. mmm

    lol, yeah, its the steering column adjust ment lock thing. its been asked an uncountable amount of times. it should be like a FAQ, with a picture and instructions because a lot of people dont know that you are supposted to put a little effort into it when pushing it down sometimes. usually because its stuck in the locked position.
    Keep it HONDA. Or at least Asian.™

    the one in my mom's datsun doesn't work...
    the steering wheel moves whether it's up or down.
    what a POS.

    Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

    thanks, i would have never thought of pushing it down works good! my dad was trying to tell me it was a choke but it was'nt hooked up!

    i know i'm bringing up a dead thread, but reading that made me remember my old tercel with the manual choke. aaah... memories
