Arospeed strut bar??

hehehe, i just put on the one piece strut bar from justin (i bought it off of busted). DUUUUUUUDE it feels great! made a 90 degree turn at 60mph. well it was kinda wide for a street, and i was on both right and left lanes lol. it was lonely though so no harm done to anyone. nor did cops see me lol

I bought mine today, i might upgrade to justins setup eventually though, whenever he starts making them again

has anyone installed theirs yet?? im thinking of getting one for a 4g accord and modyfying it, has anyone tried this and how hard would it be??

well, i finally got around to trying to install mine. first of all, let me say that the quality of the unit is very high. however, IT DOES NOT FIT. i believe the brackets on the ends are for a 4G accord, and NOT ours.

did u lift the car with a jack from the front when u were trying to install the bar???

but like, the holes are about a half inch farther apart than the studs coming out of the strut tower. i don't think that would have made a difference... let me go take a pic.

thanks for the links... only problem is i don't have access to a welding machine. anyone want to make me some custom end pieces?

I'm pissed off. This means that mine won't fit either. Why do people sell stuff and say it's for a car when it's really not? I don't have access to a welder either.

you could go to a shop and get them to weld it for u, but that would be more money... sucks that they dont fit...

Have you contacted the seller about it not fitting yet? They have really good feedback so I think it may be a mix up. I hope.

im sure its just a mistake. but im glad i was leary cuz Arospeeds site said nothing about them. maybe we should contact them about the ease of a new bracket??

On the box that it came (Arospeed box) in it has a sticker on it with a scan bar and a product number then below it it says "86-89 Accord" so I'm not sure if this was put on there by the guy on ebay or if Arospeed intended for it to be on a 3rd gen but screwed up?

I emailed the guy about the strut bar...here's what he said

We apologize for that. We will have to find out what the problem is exactly. Arospeed does show a part number for the 86-89 Accord models which is ARO651108. That should be the same part number that appears on the bar code label of box you received. We basically receive an application list from Arospeed which tells us the items they have in their warehouse. It is possible that the wrong strut bar was packaged in the box which would be an error on their part but I?m sure they will correct the problem. These strut bars are shipped directly from the Arospeed warehouse so we have to see if all the other strut bars have the same issue. You can go ahead and return the item using the original box it came in. UPS can do a Return to Sender using the same label with no problem. Once we receive the item we will compare the strut bars and resolve the problem as soon as possible. If we notice that all the strut bars have the same issue we will not ship you the same one again. Instead we will issue you a refund for what you paid. Again I apologize for the inconvenience. Let us know as soon as you send the item back.

i got that exact same message. i'm sure it's an error, and they prolly don't make them for our cars. bet we'll be getting a refund soon...

You're sending yours back? Let me know if they send you the right one or just give you a refund. I'm gonna modify mine to fit if they don't make one for our cars, so keep me updated.
