    Question New and kinda confused?

well i just got myself an 89 honda accord lxi and i was sent here from honda-tech because they didnt have to much information for me there i've done my research first and all ive seen so far is a b20 swap and a20a3 block with a a20a1 head or even a turboed a20 so my question is what all do i need to make my accord move

push it with a big rig over a cliff. lol

are you sure you have searched well enough? there is a ton and i mean a ton of threads already on this. just search for what your looking for, you know like engine swaps. most of them cant be done with out real heavy modification to the car. every other one of course needs modification as well but not as the rest do. anyway, you could also just go through every single thread in the performance section and see what you get. thats what i did when i was a newbie.

GOOD LUCK OH OH AND TRY TO HAVE FUN, dont get frustrated too easily.

unless you have major money, just do exhaust since you already have intake, get a b16 intake mani, p and p the head, etc etc, you should get into the 15's in a quarter mile with just these and maybe 140 whp and wtq. it's a slow car man, it's not goin anywhere faster unless you have 2 or 3 k to kill.
turbo is a good option if you want to go fast, lots of people have it. just cut out the flange of your exhaust mani and have a shop custom a turbo mani, dsm turbos are great for our cars, and the rest of the parts can be fabbed. but that's if you have relatively alot of money (for most of us, turbo is alot of money.)

    k

i dont think u will be in the 140 whp range with just headwork IM and exhaust. openloop got 142 with headwork, raise compression through the head, throttle body, exhaust, cam gear, and probably more bolt ons we are not aware of.

however, if u get those mods, in addition to a nice cam, i think its very feasable, but i think a cam would be necessary.

and why do you want to use a t4 turbo on your accord?

    my god ct actually helped.

heres a brief number crunch for me, the extent of mods that i have done is very minimal. Intake: 94-97 accord, cut 5 inches from different places, 25 dollars shipped. Exhaust: 2.25 Magnaflow Street Series: 108 Shipped. Off brand Test Pipe: 35 shipped. 2.25 Press bent piping from testpipe back, 150 (my god my friend recommended this place, i went in the guy was super cool and gave me a price i cudnt refuse, gets put on at 2 pm today) and Ignition: NGK Plug Wires: 25 shipped. thats 300 for exhaust (roughly) 25 for intake, and 25 for ignition (though i will see no power gains.....i just liked them cuz their blue )

Well the good news is that i finally found someone to do my b-series swap for me with a stage-2 clucth, obd-1,and my b-series intake manifold, with a p&p head and hopefully by income-tax i can drop in my turbo,so my progress is moving along gracefully.
