im gonna keep it and make it a project car...yea its auto, and yeah im NOT goin to cange it to a 5-speed, some ones gonna get there ass handed to them by a automatic 87 accord
im thinkin about doin a auto/turbo project
im only 15 and i need a job, but im goin to order some coils soon, i need my exhaust done but im going to leave the exhaust manifold so i can put a turbo on this beast...lol
any one have any suggestions..let me know

I have a suggestion! How about you learn how to drive a 5 speed and do a manual transmission swap!

Perfect example of the next generation....Or... the better way to go would be, i'm going to fix it so it'll drive first and then i'll think about modifications... because if i can't get to work it doesn't matter if its lowered or not...im only 15 and i need a job, but im goin to order some coils soon

ok...about the tranny swap...i found somethin somewhere and it says that when you have auto tranny it keeps the turbo spooled up during shifts and if im not mistaken thats what your goin for with a turbo...spool=speed=you got your ass beat by a automatic 87 hatch...

and thanks but the car runs...it just needs a tune up and thats it, so i dont know where you get off sayin that...it can get me to work but i need to find a damn job first...

Little FYI for ya Import+Auto=BOOM!!!!
Those turbo cars that use autos are probbally V8's that hold power....or they are drag trannys..........5-speed.....you'll be glad you did.

im not talkin about V8's man...im talkin about little imports that you and I have...
take it from the 3g pioneers, they can't even get the manual tranny to work well with boost (10psi and up) let alone an auto.
also wtf would you need exhaust for if youre gonna go turbo, save the money. exhuast on a relatively stock import = rice. trust me, i've been there.

im not talkin about a whole exhaust and im not talkin about rice shit bro...im talkin about a stock soundin exhaust...nothin fancy or some shit like that...and i wasnt goin to get headers or anything like that...Just because im 15 doesnt mean i dont know what im talkin about...ive been around fuckin cars my whole life...my dads a mechanic for cryin out loud...
If you just throw a muffler on their it wil go BUZZZZZ I recomend full exhaust. And if your dads a mechanic he'll know how bad import automatics are then, and tell you otherwise.

it's a good project. The auto tranny makes cars no fun IMO.
The only reason my stepdad's taurus is fun is because it's got a 200 hp engine and it moves and handle's decently well.
5 spd = TEH WIN
you should be unique and figure out a 6spd... that'd be sick.
but turbo + auto = fried tranny---- at least in this case.
Just enjoy the hatchy...

Well, it will be a good car if you treat it well. The auto tranny won't hold up to a turbo, PERIOD.
Don't even consider it. The only way to keep a transmision is for it to be a manual one.
And a little word of advice...............watch you language, and show a little respect to other members. A good way to get disrespected here is to show longstanding members NO respect. Also a good way to get yourself banned real quick.
Anyway,, and do alot of reading.

I just went out and bought 2 6" sony Xplodes for my 3g, $77 at best buy...by the way im using my Christmas money to buy these and my coils...
