    So uh... wow...

    http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...917&aff=denver

This is my old car.... they are trying to sell it for almost 3.5k and it has 253k miles.

I know it runs like new, but holy shit, you'd think they would put it close to blue book value.

yeah... oh, and btw, the brakes are about to fail on it, and the frame is bent. Looks like they are trying to screw someone. Both of those are safety issues. Not to mention it needs paint real bad and the right front fender is all fucked up.

max that car should go for is 1k

I got only 500 trade in value for it

    Holy shit.
I don't think you're going to get hosed, because I don't think anyone's going to pay that much.

Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

yeah,i talked to the sales guy about how it was selling. He said it's been on quite a few test drives, but the miles scare everyone away.

so i dunno... kinda funny/scary though.

wonder what they are saying about the car when they try and sell it....

Thats about right; car dealerships are fuckin shiesty no matter what anyone says. They'll give you the bottom dollar for your trade in ,sell you a car that your going to pay more for than anywhere else.

    Re: So uh... wow...

$2495 is still way too expensive for a car with that kind of mileage.
And if your brakes are about to fail on top of that...

    Re: So uh... wow...

well, keep in mind that I didn't tell them about the brakes or the frame damage. lol

I wanted to trade it in and get the most out of it I could. Yes, they jipped me on the trade in value, but i took what i could get. I tried selling the car a while ago and there was no one that was remotely interested in it.
