    Re: rear window trim

ok the way you take off the window trim correctly from the side windows. on coupes at least.

    1. there are two bolts on the side of the corner window. take them off and the black cover will just slide off

    2. there are two more screws holding the actual glass under there. lossen them but dont take them off.

    3. go inside the car. on the c pillar (the ones on the back) you'll see a lil tab that should come off with just a bit of tuggin covering the bolts for the handle that opens the corner door. take the two screws out of there and be care ful not to drop the glass on the floor (for obvious reasons). then just remove the two screws from step 2 and the glass should just pull off

    4. after the glass is off...there are two screws that are going to hold the trim piece in place. one is obvious and the other is on the actual corner towards the back.

    5. after all the screws are gone the trim piece should just slide/pull off towards the front of the car. now be really careful cuz you might break the clips and thats not a good thing. i broke like three so i know how crappy it looks after the clips are gone. but some automotive cement adhesive took care of that

    6. paint your damn trim piece. if there is any of the rubber residue on it scrape if off. a lil light sanding, then prime, then paint. voila!

    7. reverse the steps to put everything back together!

oh and the moldings from the windwhield should not be messed with uless youre a pro. why? well because they actually serve a purpose, holding the damn windshield in, and you dont want to fuck that up
