    Muffler/Exhaust Tips

    whats up my nigerians! lol

ok well im looking for a freaking tip for my 2.5" magnaflow muffler and i cant fucking find any! i dont want any cheap shit of course. so i was looking at magnaflow's tips and well they're all freaking 4" outlet. uh..i dont want my car to attract any attention (as in cops!) with a 4" tip so i want to go with a 2.5" to 3.5" outlet. does anyone have any suggestions on where to look? i want something like derek's but i dont know what size it is.

    so i found this:

    http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

    Re: Muffler/Exhaust Tips

Hmmm. I have the Borla SS 4.25" x 3.5" oval tip on my car. I think it fills out the space much better than a smaller round tip. I can appreciate you wanting the anti-look look, but I still think the oval looks low-key, but better. BTW. I've never been bothered by the police. Maybe because the 3g just looks so innocent no matter what you do to it.

    Here's a link to Borla if you're interested. They also make a 3 5/8" x 2 1/2" oval. It's a 2 1/4" inlet, but a muffler shop should be able to handle that w/out any problem.

Hey don't buy any expensive shit... Go to walmart and get their resonator tip for like $12 I have one and it is the best for the money by far. There is nothing better about a borla or magnaflow other than the name on the tip... It actually changed my exhaust sound a bit too. It is a little less tinny and you don't hear those little metallic sounding cracks and pops...

    Re: Muffler/Exhaust Tips

i believe the tip does make a bit of a difference, cause my tip has a little bit more of a racy zing sound to it where as my roommates tip has a more of a straight vroom sound if you get what i am saying, and hopefully i'm not making a fool out of myself.

I can tell you from personal experience that driving without a muffler is going to attract cops like flies.

Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

Mine was too. And actually I got away with it for a surprisingly long time, so I guess the flies analogy was inaccurate.
But when I did get pulled over, man was that cop a prick. Going on about how I was polluting the environment. Nothing more annoying than getting lectured by someone who clearly doesn't know what they're talking about when you can't argue with them. I wanted to slam his head onto my head and yell "Catalytic Convertor!"
    I guess I had a bad experience.
