I just ordered new wheels, Rota Grids

I ordered 16" rota grid wheels a couple days ago. I should have them on the car by the end of next week (July 14th or so)

Here is a picture of the wheel. Its not the exact picture. This wheel is silver, what i got is silver with a polished lip. They dont make just the plain silver ones anymore so i had to get the polished lip.

heres a 5 minute photoshop of those wheels on my car

Once i get the wheels i will definately give it a photo shoot for you guys and post more on this thread.

Some info on the car. Its been in the family since it came from the lot in 1988, we still have the sticker that went in the window. My dad drove the car for the first 90,000 without it ever making a trip over 20 miles at a time and only in stop and go traffic. Then my sister had it for 10,000 miles. I got it just after it hit 100k. I drive it all over the place, 3 hour road trips every weekend during the school year. It now has 154k on it and it runs like new. Which suprises me since the first 100k miles were stop and go city driving, not very good for any car but it doesnt seem to have effected this honda.

It is lowered 1.5" on H&R's with revalved Bilstien. No mods to the engine yet because it hasnt broken yet. I upgrade things on my car when those parts need to be replaced anyways. So this process of modifying my car has taken a long time.

    First started with tint
    Then carputer
    Suspension
Tires were bad and now new wheels
next i think will be the exhaust, its not looking too good, especially around the catalytic converter area.

    I'm guessing the ones your ordered hopefully had a 4 x 100 bolt pattern...if so, that's a sharp wheel you've got there.

That's got to be the cleanest living DX I've ever seen.

Re: I just ordered new wheels, Rota Grids

hmm, i definately can see them on my computer and i checked on another.

But heres a link to the wheels.

    http://subydude.com/osc/product_info...b5b9b8dd34ba94

And this is my site where i host pictures for these threads.

    http://honda.conozo.com

BTW, i ordered them from a different place for 480 shipped. The subydude site definately had the most rediculous price on these wheels. Pretty much all other places i found sold them for anywhere between 430 and 480 shipped.

Re: I just ordered new wheels, Rota Grids

I hope i get a lot of miles on the tires. Heres the story. My sister has these on her jetta and has 10,000 on them and they hardly look worn. My brother had the model up which is the toyo proxies 4. They are both all season tires which i need. But when my brother got them he wore them bald at 30,000 tires, he drives about the same as me which is taking turns fast but his car is heavier (02 Acura CL typeS) than mine. So i feel that im safe getting the model lower than his which has harder rubber, traction rating of AA compared to A, my car is lighter, and i cant really burn rubber from accelerating like he can, so i feel that the the toyo fz-4 is a reasonable choice.

But you guys may know more than me, what tire do you guys like and think i should get. I need all season tires in the size 205/45-16

Re: I just ordered new wheels, Rota Grids

All season hey... IMO, i would go with summer performance tires on your grids, and just have cheap winter tires or all seasons on your stock wheels. Winters kill the finish on wheels.
