Should I Buy These Fat Fives?

I was wondering if I should buy these if I get the price I am shooting for?

Would you guys happen to know if the black is easy to take off? And if so, do you think they would look alright after it is taken off? I fear that the clear coat was removed and therefore the would look dull after I'd take off the paint. Thanks in advance.

depends on the price.. you could probably clear coat them again too if needed

I got my five spokes from a 93 or 94 del sol but anyway they were scratched to high heaven so I took the clear and the silver paint inside the spokes off and polished them down till they looked decent then I just cleared them which worked but I got a little bubble effect on the wheel but nothing noticable unless the light hits it right and even then.. oh and I sandblasted the insides of the spokes. They look P.I.M.P. so to speak. They actually look very similar to those acura ones there. just look at my cardomain or my pic below\/ \/ \/ \/

Yes, this is true. However, I think what I'll end up doing is removing it myself, polish it myself, and clear coat it myself and see what it looks like from there. If not, I'll take it somewhere's professionally.

They came in stock accords, as far as i'm concerned that's stock Besides when the guy next to you asks what you got in there you can tell him "It's all stock".

Re: Should I Buy These Fat Fives?

Oh, I know. I don't think I'll be able to hold the "Mr. Stock" title for much longer...suspension and wheels are coming my way. But I would never stray further than Honda OEM for my wheels. The guy said his reserve for these wheels are $150 and then $65 shipped. I think that is a hell of a steal, especially on shipping (since it's usually $100 more). All I'd have to do is remove the black and re-polish and re-clearcoat. Sounds good eh?

Re: Should I Buy These Fat Fives?

Yes, I plan on restoring them, re-polishing and re-clearcoating. They will be complimented with Kuhmo Ecsta's ASXs, H&R Sport springs (already have) and Tokico HPs (ordering).
