    Subframe Connector

What do you think, good idea or just a waste of time?

I was thinking if I had one and tower braces it would really reduce body twist.

    Re: Subframe Connector

yes they do help. If you don't want to cage the car then a subframe connector is a good idea other wise a well bult cage will work better then just that connector. The reason I never built one like that was do to that it would never be a (bolt-on) and shipping would be a bitch.

    Re: Subframe Connector

has anyone ever considered making solid front bumper mounts? or welding up the ones we have solid? since this car has a big ass steel bumper under the plastic this would tie the front frame rails together like a big tie bar. the rear already bolts the steel bar directly to the frame,at least on the hatch.

I got lowering springs and struts....I'll just order a subframe connector and hack it up or even have one made.

    Re: Subframe Connector

I'm gonna do mine by extending the front frame rails under the floor pan so they connect with the rear frame rails. I find most of the flex occurs at the bottom rear corner of the door openings, where the rear frame rails end.

Something like this would be nice for the rear:

This pic is of a rear lateral bar for an EG Civic/DC Integra chassis.

    Re: Subframe Connector

that is a good idea to incorporate into a rear strut tower bar, but isn't a "true" subframe connector. you want to tie together the front and rear subframes via the floor pan rails or a cage.
