10 things you hate about your 3g

i saw a thread like this on preludepower.com and thought to myself "self...wouldnt it be cool to know what the other 3geezers hate about THEIR cars?" lol. so lets hear it. i dont think a thread like this has been made here so...post up!!!


as for me

1. no turbo
2. putting a turbo on is going to cost an arm and a leg (to do it right i mean)
3. very very very very little aftermarket support
4. everything has to be made custom (which is kinda cool cuz you get to say i made it but it sucks so much to make shit
5. i want to drop it more but dont want to deal with camber
7. no keyless entry or power locks
8. no tint on my windows
9. sometimes i win in lil races and sometimes i loose...i want to win all the time! lol
10. i want 16" rims

of course despise all of this crap...i still love my lil car.

When I had mine (both 89 white DX sedan, maroon) int:

1. Interior color(I hate now, moreso)
2. No power options(both DX)
3. No horsepower
4. Couldn't mod at the time

That's really it. It'll be a little different next time.

1. The turning circle really sucks. Why Honda didn't fix this I don't know, but on my 6G it's the same way.
2. The brake rotors get warped too easily.
3. Tail lights will leak unless you put some gutter tape over the tops.
4. Worst of all, the tendency to rust out the rear fender arches.
5. The overflow bottle is way the hell down there and consequently it's hard to check the coolant level, which usually announces that it's too low by making the fast idle valve malfunction. I've been toying with rigging up a low-coolant warning light using a thermal resistor like what's in the fuel tank for low fuel.
6. Power antenna motor is a bitch to put in.
7. Irritating little oil leaks, usually dripping right over the downpipe so the cabin stinks at a stop light.
8. Having to remove the axle to change the alternator.
9. The side trim piece on the front fenders (just ahead of the door) is made from a different plastic (prob a different supplier) and discolors more quickly than the rest of the trim.
Most of these are niggling complaints...just goes to show what a great car it is.

1) my carb is F****d up have to keep my foot on the gas and brake at lights
2) i dont have a trunk board
3) its not FI
4) i painted the dash white and it looks horid
5) the pin strip on the side and hood need to go
6) i dont have a real lip yet (oh and i took the garden lip off)
7) it kind of needs a paint job but its not bad
8) i have this clicking in the front end i havent been able to figure out
9) its not low enough but it will be on sunday
10) i dont have rear disks

My 87 LX Sedan:

1.) Spindle nuts that won't come off.
2.) 5000 vaccum hoses on the carbuerator.
3.) Bolts on the intake manifold that you can't put a wrench or socket or anything on.
4.) Can't pull the lower control arm off of the steering knuckle.
5.) The previous owner let an ant farm grow in it, so every time I do something on the car, I get ants all over me.
6.) It smells horrible inside. Again previous owner broke out the back window and let it sit in the rain.
7.) No keys, was an abandoned vehicle.
8.) Ignition is hanging down on the floor, theres random electircal wires attached to the battery, going everywhere in the car UNFUSED!
9.) It's taking up space in the garage where the '84 should be.
10.) I lost the paperwork from when I purchased the car!

Overall, its a poor abused little car that had no chance. Might as well take the parts and put them to good use. I'm still parting it out if anybody wants some parts.

Thats about it, all minor things that can be taken care of... otherwise I kinda love my car.

3. all of my rear window moldings are gone and in order to get new one on the reight way, the window has to come out.
4. no aftermarket support.
5. i have full prelude seat conversion and do upholstery but cant afford to buy new material to finish the interior.
6. i am rollin around in primer
7. oil leaks from oilpan ware the tranny meets the block.(dont feel like tearing everything apart again).
8. i hate losing races cuz i dont have enough power.
9. dont have alb (anti lock brakes)
10. there is a bubble crack thing in my front window

Dont be hating on the 3g I love every nut and bolt of my car ....If I have anything to complain about that really bothers me., , it"s replaced VERY soon...
Dont bitch about what you dont like, just love the car or dont drive it........If I had things to complain about my car it'd be sold by NOW!!!!!!!








By the end of this summer I guarantee it will run low 14's/ high 13's by september.

I can't really say i hate anything on my car, some things need to be fixed or improved but thats about it. And the people who complain about aftermarket support, if there were a lot of support then the cars wouldn't be so unique.
