hwo do we make a group like say one for the nor cal folks one for the so cal folks and so forth and so on
we should split the for sell thread into 2 sections one for the whole car the other for parts what do u guys think
that would be too much to do that.
as for the selling thing. I would have went that way myself but for now just hope that the search works.

well it wouldent be to hard u would just set someone as the group leader then people can choose to join
Public Groups are not currently activated on the board. Truthfully, they are something that hasn't been explored at all here. I have personally thought about it in the past because they can be good for community purposes. If there are enough potential groups out there that would have 10+ members or so, I think it would be an interesting idea.

so i guess i should move this question to the general section with a poll on it
do it!!! would be interesting to see this group thingyOriginally Posted by ghettogeddy

No, we can leave it here. This forum is on the main page now, and that type of stuff is why we created a feedback forum to begin with.

my bad didnt even think about it u almost never see anything going on in here
so i guess anyone that post in here id like to see a yes or no on activating public groups then maybe we can convine the border members that its a good idea
so im first and i vote yes

oh that public group I thought you ment another forum..sorry

I say it would be healthy for the community just so as long as the groups aren't entirely pointless. Regional groups, types of 3gee groups, interest groups wouldn't be a bad idea.
That's got to be the cleanest living DX I've ever seen.

Wow, that's absolutely amazing-that car does not look like it's 20 years old!

well one purpous for the groups are for meets and such we can send a out a group reminder/bullitin so more people know its there and we should have way better turn out and meets and such
I think that's a great idea.
so are we doing this????![]()
I just realized this is my 4 year anniversary with 3geez.com.![]()
Definitely regional groups would be a plus for meets, and even to use as their own little off-topic section aside from the main OT here. Like I said, community reasons.Originally Posted by MIK3
I don't know about 3gee-specific groups because I'd be afraid that people would join those groups and ask questions, when that kind of stuff should be done on the board. I don't want to scatter useful info into two different places when it should all be in one place.

ya im thinking just for meets and such
Regional groups sounds like a good idea, anything else might be going a bit overboard. The board focus's on a very specific topic, no need to pick that apart further.
im just thinking of regional groups so it would be easyer to promote meets and local things u know
i was thinking of a shout out thread for the north florida/south georgia area, just for topics related to the specific area such as meets and so on.
I'm going to be putting up 2 polls in Off Topic, one for Canada, the other for US members. All I want to know at this stage is where everyone lives, and if enough people live in one area, then we can create a group for them and set up a forum.
I realize that some states are pretty large, and the chances of someone driving from one end of the state to the other for a meet is pretty slim (I don't think anyone from NorCal is going to drive to LA for a meet), so I'll look at the numbers, ask a few more questions, and determine which regions have large numbers of people. So the final product will not be state-specific in some instances.
Aside from North America, I think the only place where there is a decent number of members is AUS/NZ/SE Asia, and we can figure that out later.

sounds good
everyone get your vote on

Just looking at the Member Map, I can estimate that the following may be possibilities:
Southern California
San Francisco/Sacramento
Eastern PA/Maryland/DC/New Jersey
Pacific Northwest (Western WA, Western OR, Vancouver)
Florida
Eastern Texas
New England (NYC/CT/MA/RI/etc)
Rust Belt (region of Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Indy)

and there will prolly be one for canada
the flordia south georgia members also have panhandle gearheads, they have a three g section and a lot of members here also belong to that site,it's a good source of info for local stuff out here. as far as I know they have no problem posting about meets for three geez stuff out here, there are a number of local car clubs that have lots of members on there. it's really about bringing different car groups together for local things that relate to us about our cars.
