    wierd question

    does anyone know if the stock carb air box is made of aluminum or is it tin lol i just want t o know if there polishable or not

    I say if it was painted, it can be polished. Just watch for rust...I'm guessing that's why it was originally painted black.

    That's got to be the cleanest living DX I've ever seen.

    anyways how about asking lostforawhile to mod you up an aluminum adapter so you can fit those shiny chrome aircleaners domestics have

    I dunno if he'll do it though.

    i dont know i think it would be cool if the stock one could be shined up my by he can make a lid that looks just like the stock one out of aluminum or something similer

    Geddy thoes airboxes are taller and the hood would not close unless you cut the suport under the hood. it might get scrached up with the engine moves and stuff...well i saw one and i think they are aluminium....i was messing around at the junk yard....first make sure it fits and then polish it.

    not the top? i remember i saw one on a 89 civic dx at the junkyard....the top part was aluminum and the rest was plastic...
