2004-2011?
I'll say this and leave it after that. It's all about SELF MOTIVATION, cah. You need to be able to motivate yourself to get yourself through school, and I don't think you can place the blame on anybody except for yourself, in that aspect. Your mom was just doing something for you that you SHOULD have been doing yourself. But self-motivation is pretty much the key to a successful life. Motivate yourself to get a job, and try to think about a successful future instead of one where you sit at home and do nothing. Don't let people bring you down either, because words are just words.
My dad went through the same situation that you are in now and he now has a nice family home, drives a BMW, and has been married for 20 years with 3 kids. And he started out poor as hell, with no father figure in his life. It CAN be done.

I think all these pointless threads are for attention. If you want attention and us to help you, then you have to help yourself first.
Ditto. I grew up in a welfare family, dad left when I was like 4. We had food stamps, cash assistance, section 8 housing, even the gubmint cheese hehe. Now I'm working for the Baltimore mayor's office as a systems admin. Far from rich but doing good, make a little over six thousand a month have a nice car, nice house, & a bunch of toys. No wife, just a girlfriend and no kids. Hellll no, kids = expense + loss of free time heheh.Originally Posted by Toneloc5145
So just work hard and set goals and you'll meet them. If I didn't have my diploma though I wouldn't have gotten this far. Definitely stay on track with that.

Do you have springs in the back? You should take the support ribbon off its weighing the car down. Just messing with you. Supposed to be getting a new car soon, if I do I'll ship you an in-tact taillight for free. I'll probably part my car out for cheap so keep an eye out. You'll get there, takes everyone just a little time and motivation. Just focus on that poor thing because I think my Accord thats running on 3 cylinders is in better shape.
